Are you transferring in fall 2010 to four-year College or University in Maryland?
The Maryland Higher Education Commission has a transfer scholarship for $3,000 per year for up to two years of study. The award is not based on financial need.
Requirements:
· Transfer and attend a Maryland four-year college or university full-time (12 credit hours per semester)
· U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (International students on visas are not eligible)
· Maryland resident; parents Maryland resident if dependent
· Have completed at least 60 credit hours by the start of fall 2010 semester
· Minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on Maryland community college transcript
Renewing an Award:
The award is automatically renewed for one additional year if you maintain an annual minimum 3.0 grade point average, you and your parents remain Maryland residents, and you remain enrolled full-time at a Maryland 4-year institution.
