Old Main Scholarship for Transfer Students Minimum of 30 transferable
credits at time of application AND 3.7 cumulative GPA. Enrolled full-time.
Award varies from $1,000 to $2,000 per academic year to be applied toward total
cost of education for up to six semesters provided the student maintains a
minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and completes at least 24 credits per academic
year. The degree of student’s academic excellence will determine the initial
amount of the award. Students with financial need may be eligible for
additional funds; therefore, all applicants are encouraged to file the FAFSA
form. Deadline: Priority given to students completing application for admission

Associate Degree Scholars Award for Transfer Students
Entering transfer students. Graduates of Maryland community colleges or Potomac
State College of West Virginia with an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science,
or Associate of Arts in Teaching degree with a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade
point average. Certain Associate of Applied Science degrees may also qualify.
Enrolled full-time. Award is worth $2,500 per academic year to be applied
toward total cost of education for up to four semesters provided the student
maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and completes at least 24 credits per
academic year. Deadline: Priority given to students completing application for

Academic Excellence Leadership Award Demonstrated
leadership qualities. Student must provide Patricia Gregory in the Office of
Admissions with a summary of leadership activities and a minimum of three
letters of recommendation documenting the applicant’s leadership roles or
activities. Award varies from $1,000 to $2,000 per academic year to be applied
toward total cost of education for up to eight semesters for freshmen and up to
six semesters for transfers provided the student maintains a minimum cumulative
GPA of 3.0 and completes at least 24 credits per academic year. Deadline:

Academic Excellence Talent in the Arts Scholarship
Demonstrated ability in theatre, music, or visual arts. Student must provide
appropriate materials – audition, portfolio, and/or interview – to the
sponsoring department – theatre, music, or visual arts. Award varies from
$1,000 to $3,000 per academic year to be applied toward total cost of education
for up to eight semesters for freshmen and up to six semesters for transfers
provided the student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, completes at
least 24 credits per academic year, and remains a declared major in the
sponsoring department. Deadline: Priority given to students completing
application for admission by February 1. Recipients of the award must accept
